Whether it’s a mere wobble or a full-blown crisis, whatever way you dress it up, Arsenal<\/a> have now lost three of their last four in all competitions, following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Bournemouth<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Gunners had gone into the game on a run of eight unbeaten in the Premier League<\/a> and having got back to winning ways in midweek in the Champions League<\/a>, although right from the off, they were second-best to a spirited Cherries side.<\/p>\n Indeed, it was the visitors who took a deserved early lead through teen sensation, Eli Junior Kroupi, before a Ryan Christie handball afforded Viktor Gyokeres the chance to level things up soon after.<\/p>\n Even then, however, Mikel Arteta<\/a>‘s men couldn’t kick on and take control of proceedings, despite a raft of second-half changes, with the dazzling Alex Scott ultimately settling proceedings with a sweeping finish late on.<\/p>\n The Englishman had been allowed to waltz clear after evading Martin Zubimendi<\/a> just outside the area, with the Spaniard enduring yet another difficult display in the centre.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Whether it is mere tired legs or not, Arsenal’s \u00a360m signing<\/a> just hasn’t looked the same in recent weeks and months, memorably enduring a difficult outing at Wembley, in which he recorded a lowly 70% pass accuracy rate after struggling to take control of proceedings.<\/p>\n Perhaps his woes are being exposed when contrasted with the talismanic presence of Declan Rice alongside him, although while the England star is doing his best to try and drag the Gunners toward the title, Zubimendi is doing anything but.<\/p>\n Not only was the 27-year-old caught napping for Scott’s winner, but he also produced an errant pass out of play prior to Bournemouth’s opener, one of 12 times that he lost possession on the day.<\/p>\n Like in the Carabao Cup final, Arsenal’s midfield metronome offered no sense of control in that midfield pivot, recording just a 76% pass accuracy rate, while winning just five of his 11 total duels.<\/p>\n Up against Scott and co, the ex-Real Sociedad couldn’t find a way to spark Arteta’s forward line into life, registering no key passes and failing to register a single successful dribble, before his 76th-minute withdrawal.<\/p>\n For comparison, the aforementioned Rice provided two key passes, completed 100% of his attempted dribbles and won 100% of his ground duels, all while boasting a far more impressive pass rate of 86%.<\/p>\n The two midfielders are like chalk and cheese right now, although it would be unfair to suggest that they are the only problem facing Arteta in this turbulent title race.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In a week that has brought with it reports of a potential move for Paris Saint-Germain sensation, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia<\/a>, this was not a positive outing for the Gunners’ current pool of wingers.<\/p>\n \n Martin Zubimendi is becoming a real problem for Arsenal<\/strong>
