There has been a major update on Rey Mysterio’s future in WWE. The legend was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 39 weekend a few years ago in Los Angeles, California. <\/p>\n
According to Sean Ross Sapp in the latest Fightful<\/a><\/em> Select Answers Q&A<\/em>, Rey Mysterio is still under contract with the promotion for several years. Sapp noted that the days of Mysterio performing in a bunch of matches every year are likely in the past. Roman Reigns is scheduled to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania 42. <\/p>\n Penta captured the Intercontinental Championship from Rey Mysterio’s son, Dominik Mysterio, last month on WWE RAW<\/a>. Dominik Mysterio will be squaring off against Finn Balor at The Show of Shows later tonight. Penta will be putting the Intercontinental Championship on the line in a Ladder match against Mysterio, Rusev, JD McDonagh, Dragon Lee, and Je’Von Evans. <\/p>\n WWE legend Rey Mysterio shared his thoughts ahead of the Ladder match at WrestleMania 42 for the Intercontinental Championship. <\/p>\n Speaking on ESPN SportsCenter<\/em>, the WWE veteran noted that he had been doing this for a long time and was looking forward to the match. Mysterio suggested that he may have some tricks planned<\/a> for the biggest show of the year to ensure that he wins the Intercontinental Championship. <\/p>\n “I\u2019m ready for Sunday. I\u2019ve been ready for about two weeks now, and I can\u2019t wait. I\u2019ve got butterflies in my stomach right now. Once they told me I was in a ladder match, I got excited, then I thought about it, like, ‘Wait a minute, this is a ladder match. I\u2019ve been doing this for over four decades now, so you know, I think, out of all the competitors in my match, I think I have the most experience. So, I\u2019m going to pull a couple of tricks up my sleeve to make sure I get that win,” he said. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/p>\n
