Becky Lynch apparently forgot that when she said “whoever” wanted could answer her open challenge for the Intercontinental Championship, that could be anyone. In this case, it was a former World Champion.<\/p>\n
This week on RAW, Becky Lynch triumphantly continued to declare how she was the greatest gift to ever grace the world of WWE and how she is now the female star with the most number of victories at WrestleMania – even vowing to go after The Undertaker’s record, which isn’t quite possible, but that’s irrelevant. Moving on from AJ Lee, Becky had her eyes on the future, and when she set out an open challenge, she was likely expecting someone fresh and new to the roster.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n <\/template><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \nThanks for the submission!\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/template><\/p>\n However, it was former Women’s World Champion, Iyo Sky, who would answer that open challenge, much to Becky Lynch’s disappointment. She started to take shots at The Genius of the Sky and her recent split with Rhea Ripley<\/a> – telling Iyo that she was holding Ripley back. Iyo Sky attacked her, and as Becky made her retreat, the RAW<\/a> General Manager, Adam Pearce, came out and said that the open challenge was now official.<\/p>\n As Becky got herself thrashed, she then had to suddenly put the Intercontinental Championship on the line, which isn’t something she fully wanted, even though she quite literally put out an open challenge. Either way, Iyo Sky being the one to answer that challenge was nothing short of incredible, and the crowd in Laredo, Texas, went nuts seeing the Genius of the Sky.<\/p>\n Becky has had an iron grip on the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, already being a three-time Champion in a very short span. Maxxine Dupri dethroned her in late 2025, and AJ Lee did so recently in March 2026. So far, it has been a working Champion’s title.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
