Dejan Vasiljevic has signed a one-year deal with the New Zealand Breakers, ending his Adelaide journey, travelling across the Tasman Sea to bring his shooting abilities to a club who were desperate for someone of his talents. <\/p>\n

The Breakers moved decisively, addressing a clear need after a below-par perimeter shooting season.<\/p>\n He brings more than just scoring. Vasiljevic adds composure, big-game experience and a strong international resum\u00e9, having represented the Australian Boomers in 2023 and again in 2025 during the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers, where he averaged 12.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.<\/p>\n In a statement, the Breakers\u2019 President of Basketball Operations Dillon Boucher said Vasiljevic\u2019s game fits exactly with where the club is heading.<\/p>\n \u201cDJ is a proven winner and a player who thrives under pressure, in big moments.\u201d he said<\/p>\n \u201cHis ability to stretch the floor and his leadership perfectly align with the style of play we have established here in Auckland.\u201d<\/p>\n Vasiljevic also spoke about his excitement to join the club\u2019s \u201cwh\u0101nau\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI am incredibly excited to join the Breakers and become part of the wh\u0101nau.
