Manchester United<\/a> have completed multiple in-person checks on Noah Sadiki this season, as INEOS continue to plot their move for the Sunderland star.<\/p>\n

Midfield is the clear priority for Man United this summer. It’s an open secret at Old Trafford that INEOS have their sights set on the likes of Elliot Anderson<\/a>, Sandro Tonali<\/a> and Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All three are high-profile targets, however, and that will mean competition from elsewhere. It’s why securing Champions League football will be so important, but also why Man United must have alternative targets ready to go if needed this summer.<\/p>\n

One of those alternative targets is another Premier League<\/a> name. According to Caught Offside, INEOS have dispatched Man United officials to make multiple checks on Sadiki <\/a>this season, as they continue to set their sights on the Sunderland midfielder.<\/p>\n

The DR Congo international has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in England, playing a key role in Sunderland’s shock rise to as high as 12th in their first season back in the top flight.<\/p>\n

Manchester United are ramping up their hunt for a new midfielder.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

That success is unlikely to come without a battle for the Black Cats, however. Both Chelsea and Man Utd are now in pursuit of Sadiki’s signature and have been told to pay as much as \u00a352m to make a deal happen in the coming months.<\/p>\n

It’s a hefty fee, but one that Man United were happy to pay when welcoming Premier League talents in Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo last summer. A year on, their transfer strategy hasn’t changed.<\/p>\n

With Casemiro heading for the exit door and Manuel Ugarte likely to follow suit, there would be plenty of room for Sadiki to thrive at Old Trafford next season.<\/p>\n

In the long-term, Sadiki could provide a partner for Kobbie Mainoo at the heart of Man United’s midfield. Dubbed “excellent” by Sky Sports’ Dougie Critchley<\/a>, the young midfielder is a safer option than the Carrington graduate and balancing that risk with reward would be an ideal way for Man United to set up.<\/p>\n

There’s already competition from Chelsea, but those at Old Trafford will be hoping that their likely Champions League qualification plays a large part in their transfer dealings this summer.<\/p>\n
