The Dallas Mavericks<\/a> have found their replacement for former general manager Nico Harrison<\/a>. <\/p>\n The Mavericks are hiring former Toronto Raptors<\/a> president Masai Ujiri<\/a> as their new team president, according to multiple reports. Ujiri\u2019s official title will be Team President and Alternate Governor.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n Ujiri is a splashy hire for a Mavericks organization that needed one. He is credited with building the Raptors\u2019 2019 NBA championship team and is highly respected and well-regarded around the game.<\/p>\n The Raptors and Ujiri surprisingly parted ways<\/a> at the end of last season after he had served as their team president since 2013. Later reports suggested that the organization had some concerns that he was stretched too thin<\/a> amid some of his other ventures.<\/p>\n Ujiri joins a Mavericks franchise that has a strong core in place, led by Cooper Flagg, and another lottery pick coming their way this season.
