Arsenal<\/a> supporters need to strap in and enjoy the ride over the next few weeks, with the fans potentially seeing their club reach new ground come the end of May.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta<\/a>\u2019s side are within touching distance of claiming Premier League<\/a> glory for the first time in 20 years, with three wins all that\u2019s needed to lift the trophy.<\/p>\n

However, the Gunners could also claim their first-ever Champions League trophy in a couple of weeks time, but will have to get past defending champions PSG in Budapest.<\/p>\n

Regardless of what happens, huge credit needs to be handed the manager\u2019s way for his efforts at the Emirates, with the Spaniard undoubtedly proving a lot of doubters wrong.<\/p>\n

Any success will only strengthen the club\u2019s chances in the transfer market this summer, which could see new top-level European talents arrive in North London.<\/p>\n

Even before the summer transfer window opens, Arsenal have already conducted ground work on a number of potential additions to bolster Arteta\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Danilo has emerged as just one possible option<\/a> for the Gunners, after catching the eye with his displays for Botafogo.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian could be set for another transfer after the upcoming World Cup, with a fee in the region of \u00a335m mooted to secure a deal for the 25-year-old star.<\/p>\n

However, he\u2019s not the only player currently in their sights at present, with Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon<\/a> also being considered ahead of the summer window.<\/p>\n

According to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg<\/a>, Arsenal are in the mix regarding a possible move for the winger, with the transfer insider suggesting that talks have been held as the Gunners are being ‘kept informed’ over the potential asking price.<\/p>\n

Despite the efforts, Arteta\u2019s side aren\u2019t alone in the race for the Englishman\u2019s signature, with Bayern Munich already in ‘club-to-club talks’, while both Barcelona and Liverpool are also in the frame.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s featured in 28 of the Gunners\u2019 35 league games to date, but only managed to register one goal and three assists in that time – a tally way below what\u2019s expected of the forward.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s shared the responsibility of starting with Leandro Trossard throughout the current campaign, with neither a top-level player who can take the club to the next level.<\/p>\n

As a result, the club\u2019s work ahead of the transfer window is hardly a surprise, with added quality needed in such a department regardless of any success this term.<\/p>\n

Gordon would undoubtedly offer Arsenal the calibre of player they have been hunting for, as seen by his remarkable figures in the Premier League this campaign.<\/p>\n

The winger, who\u2019s been labelled \u201cphenomenal<\/a>\u201d by former coach Paul Tait, has registered six times more goals this campaign – highlighting his added quality in the final third.<\/p>\n

The Englishman\u2019s higher shot on rate accuracy rate also demonstrates the added cutting edge he would provide to Arteta\u2019s side upon any transfer this summer.<\/p>\n

However, he\u2019s also been a more creative option than Martinelli in 2025\/26, with his tally of 1.3 chances created per 90 higher than that of the Brazilian to date.<\/p>\n

Higher tallies for dribbles completed per 90, crosses completed per 90 and fouls won per 90, only add to the argument that Gordon is a bigger talent than the current Gunners star.<\/p>\n

Only 10% of attackers in the division have been fouled more than the Englishman this campaign, which highlights the opposition\u2019s need to foul the forward to stop him getting to full tilt.<\/p>\n

\u00a373m would be a huge investment for Arsenal this summer, but it\u2019s a deal that could finally see the club land the top-level left-winger they have been craving.<\/p>\n
