His wife sent him a heartfelt message.<\/p>\n<p>Goldberg is widely regarded as one of the most destructive forces to ever compete in a wrestling ring. He first gained traction in WCW before he moved to WWE. However, he didn&#8217;t spend a lot of time in the sports entertainment juggernaut and left to pursue other career options. He returned several years later and even won the Universal Championship. Bill&#8217;s career came to an end last year at Saturday Night&#8217;s Main Event. Outside the ring, the WWE legend has been married to Wanda Ferraton since 2005. This was also Bill&#8217;s final wrestling match. During the bout, the Ring General and the WCW legend delivered an incredible match that ended when Gunther choked out the former Universal Champion. Following the match, Bill addressed the fans in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>During an interview with WWE Retrospective, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/wwe\/news-gunther-breaks-character-reveal-honest-thoughts-goldberg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Gunther said he liked the setting for the match since it had an old-school vibe<\/a> that was fitting for the event. He also acknowledged that he was impressed by Bill.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHe was doing so many things intentionally right that impressed me, and I was like, \u2018That\u2019s really cool.\u2019.
