The\u00a0<\/span>New York Jets<\/a> took care of one of their own when they recently locked running back Breece Hall<\/a>\u00a0down via a\u00a0<\/span>three-year deal reportedly<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>worth up to $47.75M.\u00a0<\/p>\n While speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Hall called his shot regarding what he will accomplish with the Jets during the 2026 season<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n “[Head coach Aaron Glenn] and [general manager Darren Mougey], I feel like they\u2019ve really put me in position with all of the guys we\u2019ve brought in and the team we\u2019re building around us, to really flourish and for me to really be myself,” Hall said, per Alex Smith<\/a> of SNY. “God-willing, we stay healthy and everything goes to plan, I feel like this could be my best season, for sure.”\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Hall tallied career highs of 243 carries and 1,065 rushing yards during the 2025 season, Glenn’s first in charge of the Jets. That said, the Jets notched just three wins through Week 18, and Hall acknowledged<\/a> in December that the franchise’s playoff drought extending to 15 years “definitely starts to weigh on you.”\u00a0<\/p>\n The Jets didn’t let Hall explore free agency this past March, as they retained his rights via the franchise tag so that the two sides could continue discussing a contract through the spring. Some previously wondered if the Jets could trade Hall before players left for their summer breaks, but it always seemed like Mougey wanted new offensive coordinator Frank Reich and new starting quarterback Geno Smith to have the dynamic 24-year-old as a weapon later this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n A 2022 second-round draft pick, Hall went down<\/a> “It\u2019s been a rollercoaster,” Hall said about his time with the Jets. “I came in with some guys who aren\u2019t here anymore\u2026 I\u2019ve definitely had my ups and downs with the media, ups and downs in the game and everything like that, but one thing about me is I\u2019m always going to show up every day and be the same guy and show my teammates how much love I have for them and how I\u2019m going to play for them every week.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Hall understandably was all smiles on Tuesday, but one can’t help but wonder how he’ll feel by Christmas if certain\u00a0<\/span>predictions<\/span><\/a>\u00a0about the 2026 Jets prove to be accurate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\nBreece Hall is about to reward the Jets with the best season of his career?\u00a0<\/h2>\n
