The clock is ticking, and Lamar Jackson has yet to sign an extension with the\u00a0Baltimore Ravens<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Ravens unilaterally restructured Jackson’s deal, with his cap hit for the 2027 NFL season now reaching $70 million.<\/p>\n As such, the Ravens now have two realistic choices with Jackson: Cave into his financial demands or trade him before he walks away as a free agent.<\/p>\n Considering that, Alicia de Artola of FanSided pointed to three destinations that could actually make sense: The Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, and Minnesota Vikings.<\/p>\n “The Atlanta Falcons were a popular fit for Jackson the last time this \u00a0all popped off, but they were quick to distance themselves from pursuing \u00a0the QB. Now they’re in QB purgatory with first-rounder Michael Penix \u00a0Jr. very much an uncertainty and Tua Tagovailoa as a fallback option,” \u00a0wrote<\/a> De Artola.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Falcons could also give the Ravens a stopgap quarterback for the upcoming season, whether it’s Tua Tagovailoa or Michael Penix Jr., which should help mitigate the risk.<\/p>\n “The Arizona Cardinals are in dire need of a quarterback as Mike LaFleur takes over as head coach. Jackson would be a heck of an acquisition, \u00a0especially after they took Jeremiyah Love with the No. 3 overall pick,” \u00a0she added. “The biggest splash they could possibly make is to bring in Jackson as a statement of intent.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Of course, the Cardinals might be more than just a quarterback away from contention, but most of their offseason moves have hinted at a desire to compete right away. That would probably be the fastest way to do it.<\/p>\n “If I’m Jackson, I’m looking at the Vikings and \u00a0salivating. A QB whisperer like O’Connell? A receiving corps led by \u00a0Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison? Sign me up,” she wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Vikings have made it loud and clear that they don’t believe J.J. McCarthy will be their guy, at least not for the time being. They already landed Kyler Murray, but again, he could also be a sweetener as a trade option for Baltimore.<\/p>\n At the end of the day, the Ravens may have lost all of their leverage in this situation, and while that doesn’t necessarily mean Jackson will be traded, there will definitely be options.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\nSeveral teams should consider trading for Lamar Jackson<\/h2>\n
