Manchester United<\/a>\u2019s plans for the 2026\/27 campaign have already started to take shape, with the managerial situation appearing to be edging towards a conclusion.<\/p>\n

Temporary boss Michael Carrick<\/a> has been in the role for the last 15 Premier League<\/a> matches, winning ten and ultimately securing the club Champions League football once again.<\/p>\n

As a result, the 44-year-old appears to have been handed the Red Devils job on a permanent basis after agreeing a two-year deal with the option for an additional year at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Over recent days, United have once again ramped up their interest in landing the signature of Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest during the summer window.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils have made the England international one of their top transfer targets<\/a>, with club-to-club talks expected with Vitor Pereira\u2019s side in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Both of the aforementioned tallies demonstrate his talent with the ball at his feet, subsequently placing him within the top 10% of all midfielders in Europe this term.<\/p>\n

Whilst it\u2019s unclear how much a deal for the Real Madrid star this summer, he\u2019s a player who would massively improve the options at Carrick\u2019s disposal ahead of the 2026\/27 campaign.<\/p>\n
