Matildas captain Sam Kerr capped off her six-year Chelsea career with a match-winning worldie during Saturday\u2019s 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n
In the 33rd minute her 158th and final appearances for the Blues, the 32-year-old volleyed a cross from Lauren James past the goalkeeper to equal Fran Kirby\u2019s all-time goal-scoring record at the club.<\/p>\n

But I mean, every goal to me for this club is special. I enjoyed every minute today.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just, honestly, the biggest honour to play for this club, and I have so many amazing memories which I\u2019ll carry with me forever.\u201d<\/p>\n Kerr appeared from the sheds with her one-year-old son Jagger, receiving a guard of honour alongside departing captain Millie Bright.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s born in Chelsea, so it\u2019s kind of cute, and a nice little finish, but it was special to walk out with him and have my family here,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cA really sad day, but happy day, I guess.
