Adam Copeland shocked the world when he joined AEW following his WWE exit. He has now explained the reason behind his decision.<\/p>\n
Adam Copeland is one of the most well-known professional wrestlers in the world. He wrestled for the WWE for several years, where he made a name for himself as one of the top heels in the company. However, after returning from his first retirement, the Rated R Superstar wasn’t able to reach the same level of success. He shocked the world when he joined AEW a few years ago. This was surprising since many people believed that he was a WWE lifer.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n <\/template><\/p>\n During a recent interview with Clutch Points, the former WWE star revealed that three of his closest industry friends worked in AEW and were enjoying themselves, which influenced his decision to sign with Tony Khan’s company.<\/p>\n \u201cMy three best friends in the industry work there, and they all say they’re having an absolute blast \u2014 sign me up! It was a no-brainer.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n He further added that he worked with everyone he wanted to in the sports entertainment juggernaut. He also expressed interest in working with Samoa Joe<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI’d kind of worked everyone there was to work in WWE…Obviously, there are still some [I didn’t work with], but I looked at AEW and the most glaring one I’d never wrestled [was] Samoa Joe. He said that it depends on Tony Khan. However, he would love to be involved in the creative side of the business<\/a> while pursuing an acting career.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s up to Tony and what he may need. That\u2019s stuff that I don\u2019t know. Where would you need me? Then I think we\u2019d just discuss it at that time and go \u2018Okay, well yeah, that sounds like fun\u2019 or \u2018I just want to sit on my deck or go jet skiing or kayaking or something.\u2019 I don\u2019t know. But I\u2019m a creative person and I know that no matter what, I\u2019ll need to scratch that creative itch. Whether that\u2019s just purely acting or maybe it\u2019s helping with creative in AEW and still continuing in acting. I don\u2019t know, but I do know in terms of the workplace, I love going there.
