Leeds United<\/a> and Aston Villa<\/a> have been offered the chance to sign a centre-forward on loan by intermediaries, according to reports.<\/p>\n

It has been a busy few weeks for both Villa and Leeds on the transfer front, and neither club is showing any signs of slowing down.<\/p>\n

Villa, fresh from their Europa League triumph over Freiburg and with Champions League football secured, have been linked<\/a> with Roma winger Matias Soule, Barcelona loanee Marcus Rashford and Southampton’s Leo Scienza as Unai Emery looks to strengthen a squad preparing to compete on multiple fronts next season.<\/p>\n

Leeds, meanwhile, have been piecing together their own summer plans after a solid first season back in the top flight.<\/p>\n

According to TEAMtalk’s Graeme Bailey, intermediaries acting on behalf of Jonathan David<\/a> have contacted a number of Premier League<\/a> clubs to gauge interest in a loan move for the Juventus forward.<\/p>\n

Aston Villa and Leeds are among the five English sides approached, with both sides offered a chance to bring the Canada star to England.<\/p>\n

David, 26, joined Juventus on a free transfer from Lille last summer and signed a five-year contract until 2030. He arrived off the back of a prolific spell in France \u2014 109 goals in 232 appearances for Lille across five seasons, establishing himself as one of the most consistent goalscorers in Ligue 1.<\/p>\n

His career total stands at around 154 goals, and the 75-cap Canada international has been a regular at international level for the best part of six years, scoring 39 times for his country.<\/p>\n

But his debut campaign in Turin has not gone to plan.<\/p>\n

David has managed just eight goals across all competitions \u2014 six in Serie A and two in the Champions League \u2014 from 34 appearances, with injuries and fierce competition for places limiting his impact.<\/p>\n

Juventus are now actively reshaping their forward line and David has slipped down the pecking order, with a temporary exit now considered the most likely outcome.<\/p>\n

TEAMtalk<\/a> report that Juventus are open to a loan structure that could include either an option or an obligation to buy, depending on the financial terms involved. David himself is understood to be keen on the idea of testing himself in the Premier League, having been admired by English clubs for several years.<\/p>\n

For Villa, the appeal is clear.<\/p>\n

A a striker with David’s movement, link-up play and proven record at the highest level would offer genuine competition to both Ollie Watkins and Tammy Abraham.<\/p>\n

A loan with a purchase option would also suit a club that is already managing a significant wage bill across European and domestic commitments.<\/p>\n

For Leeds, the attraction is different but no less compelling. Daniel Farke’s side lacked a reliable alternative to Dominic Calvert-Lewin this season, and David’s arrival \u2014 even on a temporary basis \u2014 would represent a statement of ambition for a club still finding its feet back in the top flight.<\/p>\n
