It appeared the New York Giants<\/a> were going to have a major locker room rift on their hands before the 2026 NFL season even began, \u00a0involving two of their best and most important young players. But defensive star Abdul Carter and quarterback Jaxson Dart seem to have cleared the air.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The supposed issue began early on Saturday when Carter responded on X to a video of Dart introducing president Donald Trump at an event in New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Carter wrote “thought this s— was AI, what we doing man?”<\/a> in a post that raised eyebrows all over the NFL.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But a few hours later Carter posted again saying that he and Dart spoke as men and that everybody on the outside can keep their narratives.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

The NFL (or any professional sports league for that matter) is going to be no different than the country as a whole.<\/p>\n

Some people are going to support the president.<\/p>\n

Others are not.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There is going to be fierce disagreement on that subject, and based on Carter’s initial post it seems to be something he did not want to be associated with his team or his quarterback.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But as tends to happen in these instances, the primary objective of winning on the football field will always take priority. And as long as it does, things like this will never be an issue.<\/p>\n

The Giants not only need Carter and Dart to be on the same page with each other as teammates, they also need them to be star-level players to help get this franchise out of the perpetual pit of mediocrity it has been stuck in for the better part of the past 15 years.<\/p>\n

Both players were selected in the first round of the 2025 draft with Carter going No. 3 overall and Dart going No. 25 overall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They both made immediate contributions, with Dart taking over the starting quarterback role and giving the fan base plenty of reason for optimism with his play.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
