So, there we have it. Arsenal<\/a> are Premier League<\/a> champions after 22 years of trying. On a sunny evening at Selhurst Park, the Gunners lifted the trophy in front of their adoring supporters.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It was a magical moment. Bukayo Saka was beaming from ear to ear, Declan Rice couldn’t stop grinning. Gabriel could not stop dancing and jiving with Wiliam Saliba. Mikel Arteta? Well, he just couldn’t stop hugging his family.<\/p>\n Wherever you looked there were moments of magic. Max Dowman, a boy doing his GCSE’s became the youngest Premier League winner ever.<\/p>\n Gabriel Jesus took home a fifth Premier League winner’s medal. For most of this squad, however, it was the first major trophy of their career. Not a bad one to get the monkey off your back, eh?<\/p>\n In six days time, they will go again in the Champions League but for now, let’s rejoice in what is easily the best season Arsenal have enjoyed in over two decades.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This Premier League term has been filled with stress. It’s also been filled with awe-inspiring moments. Who can forget Gabriel’s late header at St James’ Park? How about Eberechi Eze’s north London derby hat-trick? Leandro Trossard’s last-gasp winner against West Ham a few weeks ago wasn’t half bad either.<\/p>\n All of those moments meant Arsenal could come to the home of Crystal Palace and blow off some steam. He got in behind, raced onto a Gabriel Martinelli pass and then beat the goalkeeper at his near post.<\/p>\n Arsenal huffed and puffed, finally scoring a second after the break. A corner to the pack post was headed back into the danger area by substitute Kai Havertz where Noni Madueke was waiting to fire home. It was just his third league goal of the entire season but it was well-taken one at that.<\/p>\n The Gunners were given a late scare when Jean-Philippe Mateta found the net late on and Yeremi Pino had an injury time equaliser ruled out. Yet, with the celebrations ready and waiting, Arteta’s men held on for one final time.<\/p>\n With Manchester City losing to Aston Villa in Pep Guardiola’s final game, it meant the Londoners finished seven points clear at the top of the table. No one can say they do not deserve it.<\/p>\n The likes of Saka and Gabriel have slaved away for years without reward, but for them it feels like just the beginning. The same can be said for a certain Dowman.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Everywhere you look this season, Dowman has been creating history.<\/p>\n In the early hours of Wednesday morning, the 15-year-old was spotted in Tape, a London night club celebrating with the rest of the squad. A couple of days later he missed training due to his GSCE exams.<\/p>\n Well, on Sunday afternoon, at the age of 15 years and 144 days he became the youngest player to start a game in Premier League history.<\/p>\n A few hours after that, he lifted the title aloft in front of the away support. In the process, he became the youngest player to win England’s top flight since it was re-established in 1992.<\/p>\n Dowman’s trophy lift and medal isn’t just a token, however. He has played a major part in this season. That goal against Everton back in March is simply impossible to forget.<\/p>\n In the process of becoming the youngest scorer in the division’s history, he raced clear of the Toffees defence before passing the ball into an empty net. It was a pivotal moment in the title race and one that no doubt pushed the squad onto greater heights this season.<\/p>\n His display against Palace on the final weekend of the season was not quite that good but he still looked at home in a title-winning team at the age of 15. The teenager’s impact has been remarkable.<\/p>\n Dowman has played on the right for a lot of his career so far but it was in the middle, as a no.10, that he thrived this weekend. The performance was brilliant, as it so often has been, with the youngster playing a crucial role in the opening goal.<\/p>\n The ball was played towards his feet but he played a lovely flicked pass into the path of Martinelli who then set Jesus free. It was a moment of magic, a moment that we have become acustomed to seeing from this Hale End wonderkid all season long.<\/p>\n At the end of the game Dowman was snapped with Saka and the fellow Hale Enders lifting the trophy. It was a mighty fine symbol. At the start of Arteta’s reign, it was another academy graduate who rescued him; Saka.<\/p>\n Now, in the form of another left-footed wonderkid with the world at his feet in Dowman, Arteta and Arsenal have another star of the future, someone who looks ready to win multiple Premier League titles, someone who will be right at the forefront of phase two of his project; creating a dynasty.<\/p>\n Like Saka, he’s not got an ego, this is a boy who simply loves playing football. Opposition players gravitate to him and often they are left trailing in his wake.
