Highlighting the roster was the return of Chicago Stars forward Mallory Swanson.<\/p>\n<p>Swanson, who just scored her first <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/equalizersoccer.com\/category\/nwsl-national-womens-soccer-league\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Women\u2019s Soccer League<\/a><\/strong> goal since July 2024 against Bay FC, gave birth to her daughter Josie last November. Her last U.S. roster appearance was October 2024. According to U.S. Soccer, if Swanson features against Brazil on June 6, it will mark 604 days from her last appearance.<\/p>\n<p>Swanson rejoins her \u2018Triple Espresso\u2019 teammates Sophia Wilson \u2014 who also returned this year from maternity leave after welcoming her daughter Gianna last year \u2014 and Trinity Rodman.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s fantastic for our team, both on and off the field, to have Trinity and our two soccer moms back on the same roster,\u201d Hayes said, via a press release. \u201cHowever, we recognize the importance of preparing for World Cup qualifying and the need for the group to come together in that process. We need to build connections between players, and with limited time before qualifying, every minute counts.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>\u201cThis trip offers amazing opportunities for these players to experience Brazil, its culture, stadiums and passionate fans,\u00a0and\u00a0especially\u00a0playing\u00a0the World Cup hosts,\u201d Hayes continued. \u201cFew challenges in women\u2019s international soccer\u00a0compare\u00a0to facing Brazil in Brazil, so\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0excited for the valuable lessons this experience will bring.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A few players are notably missing from the roster due to injury, including Houston Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell, Chelsea FC defender Naomi Girma and Manchester City midfielder Sam Coffey. In April, Angel City FC defender Emily Sams was on the roster, but was not named to the June roster.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, open roster spots have led the way for Washington Spirit defender Tara Rudd, Kansas City Current midfielder Croix Bethune and North Carolina Courage midfielder Riley Jackson to be listed. In goal, Utah Royals goalkeeper Mandy McGlynn has replaced the injured Campbell.<\/p>\n<p>The full U.S. roster is listed below.
