Second-year\u00a0<\/span>New York Giants<\/a> quarterback\u00a0<\/span>Jaxson Dart<\/a>\u00a0and second-year\u00a0<\/span>pass-rusher Abdul Carter<\/a> unexpectedly became the subjects of a potential controversy after Carter seemed to react negatively<\/a> online to a video showing Dart introducing President Donald Trump at a recent event in New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n Carter later<\/a>\u00a0shared<\/span> that he and Dart “spoke earlier as men” and “are good.” Dart has also taken steps to ensure this issue doesn’t become a distraction for the Giants.\u00a0<\/p>\n On Thursday morning, NFL<\/a> reporter Jordan Raanan<\/a> of ESPN revealed that “Dart addressed teammates Wednesday during a team meeting to discuss his introduction of President Donald Trump at an event last week in New York.”\u00a0<\/p>\n Giants offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor previously\u00a0insisted<\/a> that the team’s locker room was “fine” after the situation involving Dart, Carter and Trump first generated headlines. Per Kevin McCormick<\/a> of Heavy, Giants icon Tiki Barber later said on the WFAN show that Barber co-hosts that this story would “not at all” cause any real problems within the team amid springtime workouts.\u00a0<\/p>\n According to Raanan, Brian Burns, fellow\u00a0pass-rusher\u00a0<\/span>Kayvon Thibodeaux\u00a0and backup quarterback Jameis Winston\u00a0were among the Giants’ locker-room leaders who spoke during the meeting.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n “Sources said that among the topics discussed were keeping things ‘internal’ and not airing frustrations publicly,” Raanan explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n Raanan also added that Dart “was approached recently about meeting the President during a trip to New York.”\u00a0<\/p>\n “Look, Big Blue Nation, it’s a pleasure to be here.
