LSG saw Rishabh Pant stepping down from captaincy following two consecutive poor seasons in 2025 and 2026. Now, ex-India cricketer Wasim Jaffer has announced a few players who can replace him as the captain of the Super Giants. <\/span><\/p>\n

The former Indian <\/span>player turned commentator marked the likes of<\/span> Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram as the next <\/span>probable<\/span> candidates for the Lucknow Super Giants.<\/span> These two are vastly experienced players and have played across the globe. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>He struggles as a leader. <\/span>There\u2019s<\/span> nothing wrong, <\/span>just<\/span> play as a player<\/span>.<\/span> Good<\/span> decision and in the right direction. Whether Mitchell Marsh or Aiden Markram leads the side, they have done it for their national sides. <\/span>Aiden Markram, <\/span>especially<\/span>, has a sound temperament and <\/span>does<\/span> good <\/span>captaincy<\/span>.<\/span> They can choose someone else as well,<\/span>\u201d <\/span>he added. <\/span><\/p>\n

Mitchell Marsh is the highest run-getter for the Super Giants in the past two seasons, and on the other hand, Aiden Markram has been leading the South Africans with some command. He is a very composed skipper and has led the Sunrisers Eastern Cape by example. <\/span><\/p>\n
