It certainly appears that rumors suggesting the Cleveland Browns<\/a> could trade star\u00a0<\/span>pass-rusher\u00a0<\/span>Myles Garrett<\/a>\u00a0before the 2026 NFL<\/a> season gets underway won’t be quieting down anytime soon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It also sounds like some teams feel that Garrett could be available for the right price.<\/span><\/p>\n Late Sunday night, Green Bay Packers <\/a>reporter Easton Butler<\/a> of 247Sports shared that the Los Angeles Rams<\/a> “have reportedly offered a ‘Ricky Williams-esque’ type trade for Garrett.” According to Butler, the Philadelphia Eagles <\/a>“are also making a strong push” to land Garrett.<\/p>\n Ahead of the 1999 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints <\/a>famously traded<\/a> first-, third-, fourth-, fifth-, sixth- and seventh-round picks in 1999, along with first- and third-round picks in 2000, to the franchise now known as the Washington Commanders <\/a>for the right to make Williams the fifth overall pick of the’ 99 draft. The Rams paying such a price for Garrett makes sense, on paper, since they are a win-now team<\/a> with reigning MVP Matthew Stafford<\/a>\u00a0serving as their starting quarterback.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Eagles have\u00a0<\/span>repeatedly<\/span><\/a>\u00a0been linked with Garrett since he went<\/a> public with a trade request in February 2025. He eventually signed<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>a four-year, $160M contract extension that included $123.5M guaranteed to stay with the Browns, but some\u00a0<\/span>insiders<\/span><\/a> “wouldn\u2019t be stunned” if Cleveland accepted a boatload of draft assets in return for his services this spring or summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n On Monday morning, Browns reporter Daryl Ruiter<\/a> of 92.3 The Fan said that the Rams and Eagles are “teams to keep an eye on to blow up (Cleveland general manager) Andrew Berry’s phone” regarding a potential Garrett trade.
