New York Knicks<\/a>\u00a0fans around the country held their breaths as superstar captain Jalen Brunson<\/a> limped into the locker room with an apparent right-knee\u00a0injury late in the first quarter of Game 1 of the\u00a0NBA<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>Finals matchup at the San Antonio Spurs<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday night.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Brunson returned to the court in the second quarter, but he was then spotted limping toward the bench after he seemed to hurt his ankle.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Nevertheless, Brunson once again was able to play the role of hero and guide the Knicks to a come-from-behind\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>105-95<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0victory. Following the win, Brunson offered a brief update on his status.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n “I\u2019ll be alright,” Brunson confidently told ESPN\u2019s Lisa Salters, as shared by\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Adam Zagoria<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0of NJ Advance Media.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Brunson wasn’t a one-man show against San Antonio on Wednesday. As\u00a0<\/span>SNY’s Ian Begley<\/span><\/a>\u00a0noted,\u00a0Spurs unicorn Victor Wembanyama<\/a> shot just 2-for-12 when defended by Knicks big man Karl-Anthony Towns.<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n That said, Brunson was every bit his “Captain Clutch” self as he scored 13 of his game-high 30 points in the contest’s fourth quarter.
