The New England Patriots acquired wideout A. J. Brown via a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. On Tuesday, Brown appeared on the “7PM in Brooklyn” show and said he leaked stories to the media while in Philly to motivate his teammates.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was done purposely to give us a push. I knew if I said something in the media, it\u2019s going to propel us to work harder,\u201d Brown said. \u201cIf you say what you need to say to the media, which I won\u2019t do anymore, it gives everything legs to push everyone to be better. Because pressure isn\u2019t always a bad thing, it can be a good thing. Honestly, I felt like it was okay to do.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On Thursday, former St. Louis Rams running back Marcus Holliday<\/a> offered his thoughts on Brown’s revelation and urged the Patriots to remain on guard.<\/p>\n

“A. J. Brown, who at one point I think was the captain (at Philly), admits he used to leak stories to the media, and hopes that it motivates the team. Man, hell no, bro,” Holliday said in a video on X. “That’s something you do not do, regardless of the reason. Man, if I were a player on the Patriots team, I wouldn’t do anything around you, not a d*mn thing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Holliday went undrafted in 1995. He was signed by the Rams in July 1996 as a free agent.<\/p>\n
Holliday played just one season in the NFL with the Rams. He spent the 1997 season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL.<\/p>\n
