Lose and it’s season over.<\/p>\n
The problem is, City have no plans to roll over.<\/p>\n
Third-placed City (29 points) sit just ahead of Victory (29 points) on goal difference and fifth-placed Canberra (28 points apiece), who they play at AAMI Park on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Victory kept Canberra’s hopes alive when they let a 2-0 lead slip and drew with Wellington on Saturday.<\/p>\n
It means City have qualified for the finals and the Canberra match will simply determine who finishes third or fourth.<\/p>\n
Regardless, Vidosic was determined not to let the occasion get to his young group of players.<\/p>\n
“We just treat every week as the same. I don’t feel any real pressure or anything,” he told reporters on Friday.<\/p>\n
“It’s just a normal game and we set out to win every single week.<\/p>\n
“Nothing really changes, we’re not going to now sit back – we’re still gonna be Melbourne City.<\/p>\n
“We’ll play the same, we’ll prepare the same and we’ll go out there to try to win.”<\/p>\n
Canberra have plenty of threats in attack, headlined by striker Michelle Heyman and fellow attacker Vesna Milivojevic.<\/p>\n
“We know their quality, we’ve seen their quality,” Vidosic said.<\/p>\n
“But we can take belief. We’ve gone to Canberra, we’ve won there 4-0 and Michelle played that day, they all played.<\/p>\n
“So their best players were all on the pitch and we controlled it very, very well<\/p>\n
We gave a couple of opportunities there but against good opposition and good individual players, they’re going to create soemthing.<\/p>\n
“It’s hard to keep them quite for 90 (minutes) but we’ll try to limit their danger and try to create and hopefully put the ball in the back of the net this time<\/p>\n
Vidosic said his players had all pulled up okay from Sunday’s 4-2 loss to Perth.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
