On June 10, 2026, X account Pop Core (@TheePopCore) reported that the special had been submitted for consideration by production company Done+Dusted. The globally streamed concert special is being evaluated across multiple technical and variety categories ahead of the official nominations process.<\/p>\n<p>The special aired exclusively on Netflix and documented BTS&#8217;s comeback showcase held at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21, 2026. The event celebrated the release of the group&#8217;s fifth full length album, <em>ARIRANG<\/em>. It also became the group&#8217;s first full group comeback performance in nearly four years following the Yet to Come in Busan concert in 2022.<\/p>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p>The Emmy submission quickly became a topic of discussion among BTS fans online. Many expressed excitement at the possibility of the concert special or the group receiving recognition from one of television&#8217;s most prestigious awards.<\/p>\n<p>While many celebrated the Emmy consideration as a significant achievement for the group and the concert special, at the same time, some fans questioned its chances in certain technical categories. As part of its For Your Consideration campaign, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/us\/k-pop\/news-bts-the-comeback-live-arirang-full-setlist-key-highlights-body-body-swim-butter-mic-drop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">the comeback live<\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/us\/k-pop\/news-bts-the-comeback-live-arirang-full-setlist-key-highlights-body-body-swim-butter-mic-drop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\"> <\/a><\/em>has been submitted in several categories, including Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for a Special.<\/p>\n<p>While fans praised BTS&#8217; performance during the showcase, some felt the broadcast&#8217;s camerawork did not do justice to the performance and questioned its consideration in the category. A lot of fans voiced that the camerawork did not consistently focus on the members or the performance during key moments.<\/p>\n<p>Several viewers recalled scenes that frequently cut to wide shots of the venue and surrounding buildings, including the Koreana Hotel, instead of maintaining attention on the group&#8217;s performance. The free showcase was streamed globally through Netflix Live, allowing fans worldwide to watch in real time.<\/p>\n<p>According to Netflix, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/us\/k-pop\/news-legends-fans-react-bts-netflix-live-concert-sets-new-viewership-record-surpassing-oscars-grammys-golden-globes-emmys-vmas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">the broadcast recorded 18.4 million global viewers<\/a> under its Live+1 metric, which includes live viewers and those who watched within 24 hours. It reached No. 1 in 24 countries and entered the Top 10 in 80 countries overall.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond viewership, the concert generated significant online buzz.
