Tottenham’s lack of attacking threat this season has been one of the biggest problems, one of the key factors in their slide toward relegation status.<\/p>\n

It goes without saying that signing impactful upgrades will be crucial ahead of the new campaign.<\/p>\n

\n Spurs join race for England international<\/strong>

Randal Kolo Muani’s agonising loan spell at Tottenham is no more, and while De Zerbi is a big fan of Dominic Solanke, Richarlison and Mathys Tel are by no means secure in their Spurs seats.<\/p>\n

ENIC are making progress in a deal for Manchester City’s Savinho, who only started seven Premier League games under Pep Guardiola this season. His pace and initiative down the wing will add much to De Zerbi’s system.<\/p>\n

The return of James Maddison from injury offers hope for Tottenham’s creative structure, but he needs out-and-out forwards to target, and while Savinho is exciting, he has two goals across two seasons in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Given that Barcelona are uninterested in activating a \u00a326m purchase option for Marcus Rashford<\/a>, Tottenham could swoop in for the England star, with the Daily Mail revealing<\/a> that they are interested in bringing the Manchester United winger back to the Premier League.<\/p>\n

\n Why Rashford will succeed at Spurs<\/strong>

Rashford is a La Liga champion. Since joining Barcelona on loan last year, he has scored 14 goals and supplied 14 assists in all competitions, making good on praise from England teammate Anthony Gordon that he is “one of the best players in the world<\/a>” when hitting the peak of his powers.<\/p>\n

However, Barcelona have signed Anthony Gordon, three years younger, for \u00a369m, and Rashford now has something of a conundrum on his hands. Where will he end up? Would Old Trafford represent the right move for him, or indeed a backward move as he looks to maintain form in the prime of his career?<\/p>\n

At Spurs, the experienced winger could instead reinvent himself as a Premier League superstar. After all, he’s hit the right beats in his homeland before, twice hitting 17-goal seasons since the turn of the decade.<\/p>\n

If Maddison clicks into gear, Tottenham may well find the right balance in the build-up, especially with such as incisive forward as Rashford directing attacking play.<\/p>\n

Maddison, after all, is regarded as one of the sharpest creators in the Premier League, sadly impeded by injuries over the past few years. Still, he has the potential to thrive, especially if combining with Rashford, and then with a physical and fully-fit (we can hope) Solanke in the centre.<\/p>\n

The England pair have the chance to steer this Spurs project back into the limelight, and while signings such as Savinho will help prop the team up, Rashford brings the X-factor that De Zerbi’s system needs, and Maddison will know how to unlock it.<\/p>\n
