Despite coming off of his seventh 1,000-yard season in eight tries, off-the-field issues and age have kept Diggs from receiving a contract offer he\u2019s interested in signing so far this offseason.\u00a0<\/p>\n
With the off-field issues now behind him, he\u2019s finally spoken about the rampant rumors about a return to the Maryland area with the Washington Commanders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The former Maryland Terrapin and Gaithersburg, Maryland native said he<\/span><\/a> \u201cnever realized how many fans were back home until I was a free agent and people were like \u2018are you going to come back home?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Diggs will turn 33 years old in November of the 2026 season, but still caught 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns for the AFC champion-Patriots coming off of his torn ACL in 2024.
