Manchester United<\/a>\u2019s main priority in the transfer window this summer has been no secret as of late – complete an overhaul of the club\u2019s midfield department.<\/p>\n

Casemiro\u2019s departure from Old Trafford has highlighted the need for an added ball-winner, whilst Manuel Ugarte is also expected to follow the Brazilian out of the door.<\/p>\n

Michael Carrick<\/a>\u2019s men have already made key moves in the window, subsequently agreeing a \u00a340m deal with Atalanta for the services of Ederson – who\u2019s currently at the World Cup with Brazil.<\/p>\n

West Ham United may have suffered relegation from England\u2019s top-flight, but the Red Devils are keen to take advantage and are pursuing a move for winger Crysencio Summerville.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been reported that talks have already been held with the player\u2019s representatives<\/a> over a move to Old Trafford, leading to a \u00a350m price tag being mooted for his signature.<\/p>\n

The Dutch international isn\u2019t the only player based in the United Kingdom in the sights of INEOS, with Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall<\/a> another being considered at present.<\/p>\n

According to The Sun, the player himself is aware of the interest from United and would be extremely keen on a move<\/a> to join Carrick\u2019s side ahead of the 2026\/27 campaign.<\/p>\n

The report states that the 21-year-old is said to be disappointed after missing out on the England World Cup squad – subsequently pinning the blame on current boss Eddie Howe.<\/p>\n

However, any deal would likely be an expensive one for the Red Devils this window, as the Magpies could demand at least \u00a360m<\/a> to offload their talented full-back.<\/p>\n

Summerville isn\u2019t the only player from West Ham currently in United\u2019s sights this summer, with midfielder Mateus Fernandes<\/a> a star the Red Devils are desperately trying to sign.<\/p>\n

Like the winger, the Portuguese star is set to depart the London Stadium after relegation, but the Hammers are determined not to sell the 21-year-old on the cheap.<\/p>\n

However, Carrick and INEOS are trying to negotiate a lower transfer fee this summer in an attempt to secure a long-term solution to their current midfield issues at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Whilst Fernandes undoubtedly caught the eye last term, such a lofty figure will no doubt be a concern to supporters with cheaper and potentially more cost-effective deals available.<\/p>\n

Hall may be a left-back and not a central midfielder by trade, but a move for his signature could prove to be a better addition – especially for the rumoured price tag that\u2019s been mooted.<\/p>\n

The Newcastle star has spent the last three years as a regular starter under Howe on Tyneside and has subsequently developed into one of the best left-backs in the division.<\/p>\n

A long-term solution in such an area is also wanted by INEOS this summer, with a move for the 21-year-old able to secure the club a top-level talent for the immediate and long-term future.<\/p>\n

During the 2025\/26 campaign, the youngster managed to complete a staggering 1.5 successful dribbles per 90 – ranking him in the top 5% of defenders in Europe.<\/p>\n

The aforementioned figure highlights his tremendous ability at driving the ball into dangerous areas, but he\u2019s also put the finishing touches on his runs – as seen by his 29% cross completion rate.<\/p>\n

However, without the ball, Hall has been just as impressive in recent times, as seen by his tally of 5.5 ball recoveries and 2.2 tackles made per 90 throughout 2025\/26.<\/p>\n

The former of the two stats ranks him in the top 4% of full-backs in the Premier League, with the youngster proving himself to be a sensational all-round option for United.<\/p>\n

\u00a360m would be yet another huge deal for the Red Devils, but it\u2019s one that would hand them a player who can easily reach the next level during the years ahead.<\/p>\n
