The Men\u2019s World Cup has taken the USA by storm this summer, with many American fans flocking to the early success of the USMNT. On the flip side, the USWNT are awaiting their shot at the action, with the Women\u2019s World Cup being just a year away.<\/p>\n
While right now it\u2019s the USMNT\u2019s time to show their abilities on the world\u2019s biggest stage, the USWNT still have their fingerprints all over the 2026 World Cup. From working in the media, to simply attending the games, there have been plenty of USWNT players from the past and present who are getting in on the festivities this summer.<\/p>\n

\nOne of the all-time USWNT greats, Carli Lloyd has been on World Cup watchers\u2019 televisions all summer, working at the desk as a studio analyst for FOX. Lloyd has become a mainstay in FOX\u2019s soccer coverage ever since her retirement from playing the game.<\/p>\n
While this is Lloyd\u2019s third World Cup working for FOX, this one is special. Not only is Lloyd able to cover a World Cup on home soil, she is also doing so while pregnant with her second child.<\/p>\n

Lori Lindsey<\/h3>\n
\nA teammate of Carli Lloyd\u2019s, Lori Lindsey, is in the booth this summer, working as a color commentator for FOX\u2019s broadcasts of the World Cup. Lindsey\u2019s role is especially historic, becoming the first former NWSL player to work in the booth during a FIFA Men\u2019s World Cup.<\/p>\n
Thus far, Lindsey has been on the call for group stage games alongside play-by-play commentator JP Dellacamera. This has included numerous thrillers, including the Ivory Coast vs. Ecuador, Ghana vs. Panama and Uruguay vs. Cape Verde.<\/p>\n

Trinity Rodman<\/h3>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nOne of the faces of the current USWNT, Trinity Rodman, took part in the World Cup festivities in Seattle for the USMNT\u2019s second group stage game versus Australia. Rodman was the one who brought out the match ball before the game, in which the U.S. would go on to win 2-0.<\/p>\n
After the game, Rodman would also go onto throw the first pitch at the Seattle Mariners game right next door, making for a busy day in The Emerald City.<\/p>\n

Alex Morgan<\/h3>\n
\nAlso in Seattle to support the USMNT against Australia was Alex Morgan, one of the all-time soccer greats from the USA. Morgan was in the stands cheering on The Stars and Stripes, as they would go on to secure a spot in the Round of 32.<\/p>\n

Lindsey Heaps<\/h3>\n
\nThe USMNT opened up their World Cup in dominant fashion against Paraguay in Los Angeles. Lindsey Heaps, the captain of the USWNT, got the opportunity to serve as the USA\u2019s honorary captain for the game in which the U.S. would go on to win 4-1 in spectacular fashion.<\/p>\n

Alyssa and Gisele Thompson<\/h3>\n
\nGiven that the game was in Los Angeles, it\u2019s no surprise that the Thompson sisters, who bleed LA through and through, were there. The two sisters were there representing their own team USA jerseys and cheering on the squad.<\/p>\n

Julie Ertz<\/h3>\n
\nAlso in Los Angeles for the USA vs. Paraguay was former USWNT mainstay Julie Ertz. Ertz, no stranger to World Cups having won two of her own, was at SoFi Stadium for team USA\u2019s opening game to a promising summer campaign.<\/p>\n
