The first of the late attacks, made by Bossuyt&#8217;s teammate Julie Van de Velde (AG Insurance &#8211; Soudal) also failed to work out.<\/p>\n<div id=\"slice-container-newsletterForm-articleInbodyContent-cWfMLzS4PBB9jtq8uUYyNk\" class=\"slice-container newsletter-inbodyContent-slice newsletterForm-articleInbodyContent-cWfMLzS4PBB9jtq8uUYyNk slice-container-newsletterForm\">\n<div data-hydrate=\"true\" class=\"newsletter-form__wrapper newsletter-form__wrapper--inbodyContent\">\n<div class=\"newsletter-form__container\">\n<section class=\"newsletter-form__top-bar\"\/>\n<section class=\"newsletter-form__main-section\">\n<p class=\"newsletter-form__strapline\">The latest race content, interviews, features, reviews and expert buying guides, direct to your inbox!<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"kiosq-b\">However, Van de Velde&#8217;s move sparked a much more dangerous mass move, containing defending champion Justine Ghekiere (AG Insurance-Soudal) and no less than three Fenix-Premier Tech racers: Lotte Claes, Julie De Wilder and Xaydee Van Sinaey in a group of nine. This break was powerful enough to stay away for nearly 20 kilometres, and even when it was, Ghekiere took advantage of a cobbled sector to try and stay away.<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"kiosq-b\">Ghekiere&#8217;s move was then backed by Tas &#8211; later third &#8211; and young Belgian sprinter Fleur Moors (Lidl-Trek), and Moors went for it again in the final kilometres. AG Insurance-Soudal were working hard for a sprint by that stage, though, and a few minutes later, Bossuyt paid off all their hard work.<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"kiosq-b\">\u201cWhen Justine Ghekiere was away with Tas and Moors, I told her not to ride along, because that was a dangerous situation,&#8221; Bossuyt later told <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nieuwsblad.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.nieuwsblad.be\/\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\"><em>Nieuwsblad.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"kiosq-b\">&#8220;When everything came back together, it worked out well for me. Moors had already done quite a bit of work at the front, so I just kept an eye on Lotte. With 250 meters to go, I launched my sprint.
