The Spaniard drew first blood in the opening set with a break of serve to go 3-1 up. A hold of serve in the next game consolidated her lead, and she remained ahead until the end to clinch the opener.<\/p>\n<p>Badosa broke Arango&#8217;s serve to kick off the second set, only for the latter to break back immediately. Arango held serve in the next game to make it 2-1, and that marked the end of the road for her. Badosa swept the next five games to register a 6-3, 6-2 victory.<\/p>\n<p>Lepchenko fought past Lisa Zaar in three sets to reach the second round, where second seed Tamara Korpatsch awaited her. The American handed a breadstick to her opponent to capture the first set with ease. <\/p>\n<p>Lepchenko made a strong start to the second set. She raced to a 3-0 lead, only for Korpatsch to halt her momentum with a two-game run.
