It resulted in a two night hospital stay for the third-year professional and also surgery on his collarbone within that week.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-seasonal\"\/><\/p>\n<aside data-block-type=\"embed\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\" class=\"hawk-root\"\/>\n<p id=\"elk-6365b922-7fe8-11f1-95f0-6790a803a995-2\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"kiosq-b\">\u201cThe immediate thing is, obviously, I\u2019m happy it wasn&#8217;t worse, and also it\u2019s just generally scary that a car can do that to you so easily,&#8221; said Nerurkar in a statement put out by <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/road\/teams\/uci-worldtour\/2026\/ef-education-easypost\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/road\/teams\/uci-worldtour\/2026\/ef-education-easypost\/\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/road\/teams\/uci-worldtour\/2026\/ef-education-easypost\/\" rel=\"noopener\">EF Education-EasyPost<\/a>. &#8220;And then the second part is the longer term of missing out on the racing which I was really looking forward to doing.
