Teen sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi<\/a> made an exceptional comeback in the first T20I against Zimbabwe on Thursday, July 23. While he showed glimpses of his abilities, he was unable to play a substantial knock, returning scores of 14, 13, and 15 before being dropped for the final game of the series.<\/p>\n However, he was back to his best in the first T20I against Zimbabwe<\/a>, where he smashed a quickfire fifty at Harare, a venue where he has fond memories from the past. He did so at 16 years and 118 days of age.<\/p>\n The right-hander made 50 runs off 47 balls with four boundaries as Bhutan posted a total of 161\/4 after batting first. They went on to win the game by a massive margin of 95 runs (DL Method) after restricting China to 48 all-out in 11.4 overs.<\/p>\n Sierra Leone’s Alusine Turay takes the fourth spot on this list. He was 16 years and 89 days old when he scored his maiden T20I fifty. It came against Ghana at Benoni in 2023 during the 12th match of the Africa Cricket Association Cup.<\/p>\n Batting first, Sierra Leone got to 111\/6. Alusine top-scored with an unbeaten half-century. The right-hander scored 78* off 72 balls with eight boundaries and a six. However, his knock went in vain as Ghana chased the target in 19.4 overs and won by two wickets.<\/p>\n Indonesia’s Kavin Chaddha scored a brilliant half-century against Sweden during the seventh T20I of the eight-match series in Bali in 2026. Batting first, Sweden got to 145\/9.<\/p>\n Kavin scored a match-winning fifty as Indonesia went on to chase down the target in just 17.4 overs with four wickets to spare. At 16 years and 76 days of age, the right-hander smashed 60 runs off 37 balls with eight boundaries and two maximums at a strike rate of 162.16 and also won the ‘Player of the Match’ award.<\/p>\n In the fourth match of the Portugal T20 Tri-series in 2021 between Gibraltar and Malta at Albergaria, Louis Bruce<\/a> scored his maiden T20I fifty, albeit in a losing cause. Malta batted first and posted a huge total of 197\/3.<\/p>\n Gibraltar got extremely close but fell short by four runs in the end and were restricted to 193\/2. Louis Bruce scored 58 runs off 45 balls with seven boundaries. Unfortunately, his effort was not enough to take his side over the line. He was 16 years and 56 days old at the time.<\/p>\n Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed the record for the youngest batter to score a maiden T20I fifty, achieving the feat at the age of 15 years and 118 days. In the opening match of the ongoing Zimbabwe series, India restricted the hosts to 125\/7 after bowling first.<\/p>\n Opening the batting, Vaibhav Suryavanshi got off to a blistering start and made his intentions clear from the word go.
