After missing a simple run-out opportunity, assuming that the batter had reached the crease, he remarked that he would be looking at the bails next time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/team\/india-national-cricket-team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">India<\/a> beat Zimbabwe by 90 runs in the second T20I at Harare Sports Club on Saturday, July 25. Sent into bat, they put up 219-5 on the board as Kishan top-scored with 81 off 44. However, when India fielded, an unexpected moment of error in judgement from Kishan went viral on social media.<\/p>\n<p>In the 15th over of Zimbabwe&#8217;s innings, Tadiwanashe Marumani guided a ball to deep backward point, but was involved in a mix-up with his partner and both batters were stranded near the bowler&#8217;s end. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/player\/ishan-kishan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Kishan<\/a> casually under-armed a throw and missed hitting the stumps, only to realize that there was no batter inside the crease. Speaking at the post-match presentation, he admitted:<\/p>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I thought the batter was already inside the crease, but my bad. I&#8217;ll be looking at the bails next time.&#8221;    <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kishan&#8217;s blunder, however, did not cost Team India as the visitors went on to register a thumping win. Chasing 220, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/team\/zimbabwe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Zimbabwe<\/a> were bowled out for 129 as Abhishek Sharma claimed three wickets, while Prince Yadav and debutant pacer Yash Thakur claimed two scalps each.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>&#8220;Don&#8217;t focus on what&#8217;s happening outside&#8221; &#8211; Kishan after match-winning knock in 2nd ZIM vs IND 2026 T20I <\/h2>\n<p>Despite making a tremendous comeback to international cricket, Kishan&#8217;s batting has been a matter of debate for multiple reasons. His ability against the short ball was questioned after a few low scores in England. The southpaw&#8217;s batting style at No. 3 has also been discussed a lot. The 28-year-old, however, downplayed all the chatter around his batting. The Indian star said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t give so much focus on what&#8217;s happening outside. I know the way I have to play. What&#8217;s important is to just be in the moment, not think about what&#8217;s going on in the outside world, who is getting more, thinking about that this guy is hitting more. Everyone can have that image in the team.
