Manchester United<\/a> are seriously interested in signing Everton star Iliman Ndiaye, as they want to bring in a versatile forward this summer.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Strengthening the midfield has been Man United’s priority thus far, but having signed Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, they can now turn their attentions towards improving their attack.<\/p>\n Bringing in proven Premier League<\/a> forwards worked wonders last summer, with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha going on to establish themselves as key players, and Ndiaye also ticks that box.<\/p>\n The 26-year-old has made 66 appearances in the top flight across spells with Sheffield United and Everton, during which time he’s picked up 15 goals and three assists.<\/p>\n Last season, the right-winger was lauded as “one of the best players in the Premier League” by former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara<\/a>, and he was a constant threat for David Moyes’ side on the front foot, averaging 2.4 successful dribbles per 90.<\/p>\n Since then, the Senegal star has gone on to put himself in the shop window with his performances at the World Cup, picking up one goal and two assists in three matches.<\/p>\n As such, the Toffees could now find it difficult to keep hold of their star forward.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to a report from TEAMtalk, Man United are now seriously interested in signing Ndiaye, as they want to add a versatile forward to their ranks this summer.<\/p>\n Everton are now ‘facing a major battle’ to retain the 43-cap Senegal international, and they are planning to open talks regarding a new contract.<\/p>\n The Toffees scored just 47 goals across their 38 top flight games last season, which was largely a result of a lack of chances being made, as relegated West Ham created more ‘big chances’ than the Blues’ 71, a number only five teams fell shy of.<\/p>\n Ndiaye’s spark, directness and ability to make something out of nothing is crucial for a side set up in favour of defensive stability over constant chance creation.<\/p>\n Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal have also surged into the race for the former Sheffield United man, while Liverpool retain an interest, so there could be fierce competition for his signature.<\/p>\n Why Man Utd want to sign Iliman Ndiaye<\/p>\n<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n Premier League proven<\/p>\n<\/th>\n After a disastrous 2024-25 campaign, in which they finished 16th, Man United got their recruitment right last summer, with Mbeumo and Cunha going on to score 21 Premier League goals between them to help secure a return to the Champions League.
