The 21-year-old&#8217;s impressive victory prompted fans and media pundits to declare him the next great superstar on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yardbarker.com\/golf\/topics\/pga\/17207\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PGA<\/a> Tour, but it&#8217;s far too early for that kind of talk.<\/p>\n<p>Koivun may very well be the next Scheffler. The talented youngster is coming off a dominant junior season at Auburn in which he won six times in 10 starts and didn&#8217;t finish worse than T10. He also finished T23 at the U.S. Open and recorded another top-10 finish at the ISCO Championship before scoring his first victory at the 3M Open.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This is nothing new for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yardbarker.com\/golf\/articles\/jackson_koivun_holds_off_scottie_scheffler_for_first_pga_win\/s1_13132_44104993\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Koivun<\/a>, who notched four straight top-11 finishes on the PGA Tour as a 20-year-old amateur.
