The legendary wicketkeeper-batter was recently seen taking a rare Mercedes-Benz 450SL for a spin on the streets of Ranchi.<\/p>\n<p>The Mercedes-Benz 450SL is a two-door roadster that comes with a removable hard top. It was produced from 1973 to 1980 and was not officially sold in the Indian market, making it an incredibly rare collectible in the country.<\/p>\n<p>A video surfaced on social media on Tuesday in which Dhoni can be seen driving the red-colored vintage car in his hometown. Watch the clip here:<\/p>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p>Notably, Dhoni returned to India after India&#8217;s recently concluded white-ball tour of England. He was spotted in the stadiums for several matches in the T20I and ODI series.<\/p>\n<p>The 45-year-old was also seen driving a 1970 Ford Mustang in Ranchi after landing in India. Watch the clip here:<\/p>\n<p>On the cricketing front, MS Dhoni was part of the Chennai Super Kings (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/team\/chennai-super-kings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">CSK<\/a>) squad for the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL). However, the seasoned campaigner did not feature in a single match after being sidelined due to a calf strain.<\/p>\n<p>Dhoni is known to be very passionate about automobiles and has several vintage cars and bikes in his enviable garage. His car collection includes rare vehicles such as Hummer H2 and Nissan Jonga.<\/p>\n<h2>MS Dhoni attended just one match in IPL 2026<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/player\/ms-dhoni\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">MS Dhoni<\/a> remained absent from almost all of CSK&#8217;s IPL 2026 matches. He was only present at the stadium for the Chennai-based side&#8217;s final league match of the season.<\/p>\n<p>CSK suffered a five-wicket defeat to SunRisers Hyderabad (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/team\/sunrisers-hyderabad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">SRH<\/a>) at MA Chidambaram Stadium on May 18. After the match, Dhoni featured in a lap of honor with the Chennai squad as they thanked the home crowd for their support.<\/p>\n<p>The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side endured a disappointing campaign.
