Grayson Waller’s return to NXT has generated plenty of discussion among fans, but a WWE star recently decided to have some fun at his expense. Shortly after Waller’s appearance on this week’s show, Tristan Angels took to social media to take a jab at the 36-year-old.<\/p>\n
Waller made a shocking return to the developmental brand on the July 28 episode of NXT, where he kicked off the show by delivering a pipebomb promo<\/a> that went viral across the wrestling community. The Aussie Icon then made it clear he’s back to the developmental brand and officially declared his intention to take the NXT Championship from Tony D’Angelo.<\/p>\n The segment generated massive buzz online, and now NXT star Tristan Angels has reacted to Grayson Waller<\/a>‘s return on X. He clapped back at the former Tag Team Champion by joking that being sent back to developmental at 36 means Waller will slide even further down to Evolve by the time he turns 40.<\/p>\n “Being demoted to developmental at 36 is crazy work. At this rate @GraysonWWE will be moved down to evolve by 40 \ud83d\ude2d @BookItGabe #nxt #wwe,” wrote Angels.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Waller has addressed the criticism surrounding his return to NXT with a brief but pointed message on social media. The former Tag Team Champion appeared unfazed by the reaction to his recent promo, instead suggesting that outside opinions only matter if a person allows them to.<\/p>\n Following the July 29 edition of NXT, Waller took to X and shared a cryptic post<\/a> seemingly aimed at those who had criticized both his return and his comments on the show.<\/p>\n “The only insults that hurt, are the ones you believe #StayReal,” wrote Waller.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/p>\n
