Australia\u2019s head coach has reportedly even suggested taking a 17-member squad instead of the usual 15 for the World Cup. The idea is to rotate players during the early stages of the tournament so that the team\u2019s biggest names remain fresh for the knockout matches.<\/p>\n
This workload management could directly affect IPL 2027.<\/p>\n
Pat Cummins has already indicated that playing the IPL may not be possible because of the packed international schedule. Similar concerns are expected around Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head and Cameron Green, all of whom are likely to be involved in both the World Cup and the Ashes preparations.<\/p>\n
