Brandon Aiyuk and the San Francisco 49ers found themselves in the middle of another controversy on Sunday regarding the wide receiver’s reckless driving incident. 49ers podcaster Tony Farmer raised questions regarding accountability and how NFL teams interact with local law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n
Farmer reposted his June 4 tweet about Aiyuk’s speeding warrant to share his feelings about the handling of the case.<\/p>\n

Try our NFL Playoff Predictor<\/a> for real-time simulations and stay ahead of the game!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The legal dispute dates back to a YouTube video posted by Aiyuk in December 2025, which captured his Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing traveling at 104 mph in a 40-mph zone directly outside Levi’s Stadium.<\/p>\n Following an investigation by the Santa Clara Police Department, local prosecutors formally filed a misdemeanor charge for exhibition of speed and obtained an arrest warrant. Despite the public warrant, authorities handled the matter through the local court instead of arresting Aiyuk.<\/p>\n The misdemeanor charge adds another chapter to an already fractured relationship between Aiyuk and the 49ers front office. The wide receiver has yet to report and remains on the reserve\/left squad list.<\/p>\n “Brandon is on a left squad designation,”<\/em> Lynch said while speaking to reporters on July 25. “As such, he’s not on our 90 man roster… And so, I don’t have anything to say on that, anything to add to that.
