The tournament will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.<\/p>\n<p>Shastri included captain Shubman Gill, veteran batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, and Shreyas Iyer, which Chopra felt was on the expected lines. The next inclusion seemed surprising to him, which was that of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Shastri also included KL Rahul and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/player\/rishabh-pant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Rishabh Pant<\/a> as his wicket-keepers.<\/p>\n<p>On Jaiswal and Pant, Chopra raised doubts about whether the two would actually be picked in the squad.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;He has picked Yashasvi Jaiswal. Very interesting choice. He has given many opening options. With KL Rahul, he has picked Rishabh Pant. This is a slightly different team he has made. Jaiswal has two ODI hundreds, yes. But will he make it? This is a tough question. Pant has been treated unfairly in ODIs, let&#8217;s be fair. You dropped him without playing him, but will he be part of the team now? So late, or rather so close to the World Cup? Ishan is the flavour of the month right now,&#8221; he said in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/Dbml31EIKuz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Instagram video<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p>Further, the former India batter agreed with Shastri going for Axar Patel and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/player\/ravindra-jadeja\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Ravindra Jadeja<\/a> as two genuine all-round spin options along with Hardik Pandya as the seam bowling all-rounder, excluding the likes of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;He has included two left-arm spinners (all-rounders) Axar and Jadeja, along with Hardik Pandya. His team does not have a place for Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar, so he&#8217;s gone with two spinners, who are experienced and proper all-rounders, makes sense.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Coming to the bowlers, Shastri picked Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Shami, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/player\/bhuvneshwar-kumar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Bhuvneshwar Kumar<\/a>. Chopra expressed that Bumrah, Siraj, and Kuldeep were the right choices. However, he felt that this squad was unlikely to be actually picked with the likes of Jaiswal, Pant, Shami, and Bhuvneshwar present. He rated the squad eight out of ten.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammad Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep, Siraj, Bumrah, no questions asked. But both Shami and Bhuvneshwar, these are very interesting choices. With Shami, Bhuvneshwar, Pant, and Jaiswal as well, this is a very interesting team. I will give this team 8\/10 because I feel a team like this may not be selected, unless he becomes the selector himself.
