A new reason to pay attention to what’s going on with the Kansas City Royals\u00a0<\/a>has emerged, at least every fifth day.\u00a0<\/p>\n After struggling earlier in the season, Noah Cameron has managed to find a rhythm in his most recent starts, even securing a rare victory on Wednesday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n Cameron pitched eight dominant innings in the Royals’ 2-1 win over the Minnesota Twins<\/a>, allowing one run on just two hits and a walk. He also recorded nine strikeouts.\u00a0<\/p>\n Wednesday was Cameron’s third consecutive start going past the seventh inning and giving up two or fewer hits, placing him on a short list that includes Justin Verlander<\/a>, Damian Moss, Randy Johnson and Rube Marquard as pitchers to post a similar stretch since 1900. He now even has a chance to stand alone above the rest in his next outing.\u00a0<\/p>\n But due the lack of run support, Cameron is now only 6-8 on the year.
