They beat the <em>Seagulls <\/em>4-0 at the Stadio Olimpico, before Brighton came away with a modicum of pride after winning 1-0 in the return leg at the Amex.<\/li>\n<li>Due to Brighton&#8217;s planned match with French side Annecy being cancelled, Fabien Hurzeler&#8217;s men have only played twice this summer. They have beaten Wycombe Wanderers and Strasbourg, scoring eight goals across the two matches.<\/li>\n<li>After drawing with French side Cannes, Roma suffered an almighty upset when they were hammered 4-1 by EFL League One side Cardiff City last weekend. Thankfully for their fans, they did bounce back against an even lower-ranked side in the form of Newport County on Tuesday, running out 1-4 winners.<\/li>\n<li>Despite their reputation as a selling club, Brighton have only lost two key players this summer, selling Jan Paul van Hecke to Tottenham and Danny Welbeck to Chelsea. Moreover, they have broken their own transfer record by paying a potential \u00a350m to bring defensive prospect Luka Vuskovic in from Tottenham,<\/li>\n<li>Roma&#8217;s biggest signing this summer to date is Argentine forward Santiago Castro, who has joined from Serie A rivals Bologna for a fee of \u20ac35m.
