Two of his goals came together, culminating in an ultimate victory at SummerSlam. Backstage, Gable was congratulated by everyone and embraced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/wwe\/news-emotional-reunion-chad-gable-embraces-forgotten-wwe-partner-after-intercontinental-title-win-at-summerslam-video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">his former American Alpha partner<\/a> Jason Jordan. <\/p>\n<p>Chad has now opened up on his enduring bond with Jordan. During a recent SummerSlam Vlog, he shared that the two remain as close as ever, viewing each other like brothers. However, Jordan&#8217;s career unfortunately ended after suffering a severe neck injury in 2018. This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/wwe\/why-jason-jordan-retire-wwe-know-ended-in-ring-career-29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">abruptly cut his career short<\/a> at the age of 29. Following necessary surgery, he transitioned to a backstage role, where he currently serves as a lead WWE producer.<\/p>\n<h2>Chad Gable reflects on the tough times that brought him to success<\/h2>\n<p>On SummerSlam 2026 Sunday, Chad Gable finally conquered his long-standing demons by capturing his first singles title in WWE, the Intercontinental Championship. Appearing on the SummerSlam Post-Show, an emotional Gable admitted he could not contain his tears after achieving the milestone.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;I was a grown man, husband, father, and I found myself fighting back tears, and I couldn\u2019t do it; I lost it. The tears were just flowing. It\u2019s reminiscent. It just reminds you of everything.
