Kogel has been producing a range of high-end derailleur cage and oversized pulley upgrades for years<\/a>. The brand recently added the Kolossos Pulsar, which it is calling the fastest to date. Built into Kogel\u2019s already proven, ultra-stiff Speed Kolossos and Aero Kolossos platforms, the Pulsar pulleys\u2019 full-ceramic, lubrication-free bearings reportedly deliver \u201cabsolute peak efficiency<\/em>\u201d and the \u201clowest friction numbers humanly possible<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kolossos Pulsar Details<\/h2>\n

According to Kogel, when testing Pulsar prototypes, their standard friction test rig \u201cgave us a reading of zero watts friction losses<\/em>.\u201d Rather than claiming they had broken the laws of physics, they realized that the friction losses were so low that the standard sensors couldn\u2019t detect them. Kogel acquired a \u201chyper-sensitive sensor<\/em>\u201d so they could get a numerical value for comparison.\u00a0<\/p>\n
