The Minnesota Vikings<\/a> haven\u2019t played a preseason game yet, but as they prepare for their first contest against another team in 2026, they\u2019ve named their regular season starting quarterback.\u00a0 <\/p>\n Adam Schefter reported that Minnesota is\u00a0<\/span>making the expected decision<\/a> \u00a0to name free agent acquisition Kyler Murray<\/a> as their QB1 over J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz. <\/span><\/p>\n The former first-overall NFL Draft pick was released by the Arizona Cardinals this offseason after playing just five games in 2025 and he landed in Minnesota on a veteran minimum contract. Murray racked up 20,460 passing yards and 121 touchdowns to 60 interceptions as well as 3,193 yards and 32 TDs on the ground in his seven seasons in the desert. While he showed flashes of the Heisman Trophy-winning talent he displayed at Oklahoma, he simply didn\u2019t win enough games as a Cardinal.\u00a0<\/p>\n But an opportunity to play with Justin Jefferson and head coach Kevin O\u2019Connell could help rejuvenate Murray\u2019s career. For a Vikings team that went 9-8 even with a tough situation under center last season, a capable quarterback should be able to bring Minnesota back to the playoffs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Which brings us to today\u2019s quiz.
