A WWE veteran recently had some questionable activity on social media, and has since apologized for his mistake.<\/p>\n
Dustin Rhodes<\/a>, who is currently signed to AEW, was previously a part of the Stamford-based promotion’s roster as Goldust. Apart from winning tag team titles in WWE, he also was the Intercontinental Champion thrice. He plays an important role backstage in AEW as well as occasionally on-screen, guiding the next generation of stars in the business.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \nThanks for the submission!\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/template><\/p>\n Recently, Dustin Rhodes had liked a picture of a woman with a gun in a holster. The post on X had an anti-Islam message in the caption, something that the WWE veteran apparently did not notice. After backlash from fans, Rhodes took to X to issue an apology, clarifying that he had not actually read the caption before liking the post.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/template><\/p>\n “My apologies for liking a firearm pic. Did not not read the caption and that is my bad. I by no means, and you all know, I am not a racist person. We all bleed red. Truthfully liked the firearm in picture, nothing more. I sincerely apologize”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n You can check out his post below:<\/em><\/p>\n This apology has recieved mixed reactions from his fans. Dustin Rhodes later stated<\/a> that he waabsolutely against the message in the original post he liked. He said:<\/p>\n “Yall can think what you want, but I am or have selective reading. Not a lie. Once again, i am sorry for not reading the post. I am 110% againt what she said after looking. I am being honest.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Despite Dustin Rhodes’ apology and clarification, he continued receiving backlash from a section of the pro wrestling community.<\/p>\n After a short while, the understandbly frustrated WWE veteran openly considered quitting X. He explained that he was tired of the issues, stating<\/a>:<\/p>\n “Think I\u2019m gonna quit this app. No matter how many people i help, or how many i inspire, there is always so many trying to break you down. Tired.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Dustin Rhodes is also involved in ROH, where he is part of the Sons of Texas stable.
