Jayden Daniels\u00a0<\/a>played three snaps Saturday. That was apparently enough time for the Washington Commanders<\/a> to receive an uncomfortable reminder about their franchise quarterback.<\/p>\n Washington\u2019s opening possession<\/a> against the Detroit Lions<\/a> could hardly have gone worse. The Commanders lost 11 yards, allowed Daniels to be sacked and punted after three plays.<\/p>\n Then his afternoon was over.<\/p>\n Daniels officially finished 0-of-1, although evaluating him from that stat line would be ridiculous. He barely had time to survey the field, much less show what he can do in David Blough\u2019s<\/a> offense.<\/p>\n The more revealing part of the series happened in front of him.<\/p>\n Detroit brought pressure on second down and reached Daniels before the possession had any chance to develop. Instead of gaining a little game experience before Week 1, Washington\u2019s starting quarterback spent his only drive dealing with a collapsing pocket.<\/p>\n It was preseason. The Commanders were not using their entire playbook, and several important players were missing.
