According to Spanish outlet Marca, the Argentine is now considering Arsenal as an alternative, with the Premier League club remaining attentive to his situation should he open the door to a move.<\/p>\n Until now, \u00c1lvarez had reportedly indicated Barcelona as his desired destination.<\/p>\n The latest development comes amid an increasingly public battle between Barcelona and those surrounding the situation of spreading \u201cmany lies and half-truths\u201d.<\/p>\n However, that stance reportedly does not extend to other potential buyers.<\/p>\n According to Argentine journalist Gast\u00f3n Edul, Atl\u00e9tico have placed a \u20ac150 million (A$243m) price tag on \u00c1lvarez and are prepared to consider offers from any club other than Barcelona.<\/p>\n That potentially opens the door for Arsenal, with \u00c1lvarez reportedly beginning to accept that his desired move to the Catalan giants will not happen and considering the Gunners as another
