Before his big fight against Orton, The American Nightmare dropped a blockbuster tease of a project outside of the wrestling business.<\/p>\n<p>At SummerSlam earlier this month, Cody Rhodes faced off against reigning Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk. However, he was unable to pick up the win as a result of Randy Orton&#8217;s shock return to WWE. The Viper, who hadn&#8217;t been seen in the promotion since he lost to Rhodes at WrestleMania 42, returned to cost him the gold. Since then, Rhodes has been in a feud with Orton. <\/p>\n<p><template id=\"template__newsletter-inline-banner-form-combo-widget\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<p><img id=\"subscribe-img\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\nThanks for the submission!\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p>Before his rematch against The Viper at Sunday Night&#8217;s Main Event on September 6, Cody Rhodes took to his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/stories\/americannightmarecody\/3972492911216026710\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Instagram stories<\/a> and uploaded a photograph of himself from Marvel Studios in Burbank, California. Although he didn&#8217;t reveal any further details, The American Nightmare is likely going to be part of a movie project in association with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  <\/p>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p><em>You can check out the photograph from his Instagram story in the tweet below:<\/em><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>Could Cody Rhodes turn heel and ally with Paul Heyman?<\/h2>\n<p>Cody Rhodes was in a heated war of words with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/player\/randy-orton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Randy Orton<\/a> on the most recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown to build up their upcoming bout at SNME.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, during his promo, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/wwe\/cody-rhodes-may-subtly-confirmed-turning-heel-will-work-60-year-old-wwe-icon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">The American Nightmare dropped a line that had the WWE Universe guessing about his future direction<\/a> in the Stamford-based promotion.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;You may go on to become the greatest of all time, but the one who kills The Legend Killer is QB1. That is not a prediction. That is a spoiler,&#8221; Rhodes said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Although The Viper keeps trying to paint Rhodes as the golden boy, who could do nothing wrong, Rhodes has been hinting at unleashing his evil side against his former friend.<\/p>\n<p>Was the use of The Wiseman&#8217;s catchphrase a deliberate act on WWE&#8217;s part, or was that just a case of The American Nightmare borrowing some words from Heyman?
