Back then, though, she was in TNA\/IMPACT Wrestling, named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/wwe\/interview-laurel-van-ness-talks-about-training-under-lance-storm-wrestling-in-india-working-with-grado-and-much-more\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Laurel Van Ness<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The segment took place between Green and Scottish star Grado on the August 24, 2017, episode of IMPACT. In storyline, Grado was looking to marry a United States citizen in order to avoid deportation. You are the whipped cream to my Twinkie, the barbecue sauce to my ribs! There&#8217;s just one small little thing that I wanted to ask you. Can I ask him? However, the wedding was called off when the popular star learned his wife-to-be was actually Canadian, not American! <\/p>\n<p>In real life, Green would go on to marry fellow wrestler Matt Cardona in 2021. The two had already started dating in January 2017, months before the segment above aired.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>Chelsea Green&#8217;s Real-Life Marriage Explored In WWE Unreal<\/h2>\n<p>Matt Cardona returned to WWE last year, ending up in the same company as his wife. As a result, his marriage with Chelsea Green was highlighted on the latest season of WWE Unreal.<\/p>\n<p>Green recently spoke about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/wwe\/news-you-avoid-fact-together-female-wwe-star-s-heartfelt-admission\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">working on screen<\/a> with Cardona. Appearing on <em><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/oBE-PXBPJyE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">ETalk<\/a><\/em>, she explained why it was inevitable:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Matt [Cardona] and I have been together for ten years. We&#8217;ve had so many instances in our careers where we almost crossed paths, where we&#8217;ve almost worked together. We&#8217;ve almost been on the same show. And it was an amazing moment to be able to have him brought back to WWE and have us able to work together on-screen, on SmackDown, but then also have backstage footage from Unreal&#8230; So, for Matt and I to end up on screen together, in my opinion, was inevitable. You cannot avoid the fact that we&#8217;re together.
